Supported Fields

Below are all of the fields that SingleFeed supports, with simple explanations of each. For optimal results provide as many as possible!

Note that while field names are not case sensitive, they will have to match exactly. For example, UPC must have the exact field name: UPC (UNIVERSAL PRODUCT CODE).

The order of these fields is not important.

Required Fields

Google Fields

Bid Fields

Required Fields

The following fields are required in order to submit your products through SingleFeed.

'UNIQUE INTERNAL CODE'

A SKU or unique internal ID is required for all products. This is not the Manufacturer Part Number or Universal Product Code. If you don't have a unique internal SKU system, create an ordered list, giving each product a number: 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. This ID CANNOT change and must stay consistent throughout imports. It also must be unique to each product. SingleFeed will reject items with duplicate UICs. This field is case sensitive. Example - ABC123 and abc123 are two unique products.

'PRODUCT NAME'

Short, simple description of your product. Don't use words like best, lowest price, on sale, etc. Maximum number of characters is 100.

'PRODUCT DESCRIPTION'

Describe the product you're selling. Don't use words like best, lowest price, on sale, or other promotional text like "free shipping", etc. Do use the popular keywords users would search for to find that item. Maximum number of characters is 900.

'PRODUCT PRICE'

This is the regular price for the item before rebates, sales, coupons, etc.

Example: 123.99. Don't use a '$'.

'PRODUCT URL'

This is the link where the product is located on your site. Don't use a generic URL. You must start the link with http://

'IMAGE URL'

This is the URL for the image of the product you're selling. Don't use a generic URL. You must start the link with http:// and you must be using a standard file extension like .jpg, .gif, etc... Do not include images with watermarks.

'CATEGORY'

This is the category on YOUR site. Separate category levels with '>' For example, if you sell air conditioners under your Home & Garden section, you'd put "Home & Garden > Air Conditioners". Besides sending your site's categorization to some shopping engines, SingleFeed depends on this field to properly categorize your products into each shopping engine's specific taxonomy. Because of this, you should make sure to include the specific categorization for every product you submit. 'Home and Garden' or 'Electronics' is not enough, you must go deeper. Also, categories like 'Clearance' or 'Full Site Search' are not acceptable. Not including a proper category will significantly hold up the categorization process.

'MANUFACTURER'

The manufacturer or brand of the product. If you personally manufacture the product, insert your name.

Strongly Recommended Fields

The following fields are strongly recommended, depending on the type of product and the engines you are submitting to.

‘STOCK STATUS’

This field accepts 2 values: Y, N. If left blank, SingleFeed will enter a default value of 'Y'.

Please make sure to provide accurate Stock Status information for all items, or leave out-of-stock items out of the feed.

For Google Product Search only: we also support AVAILABLE FOR ORDER and PREORDER

‘CONDITION (IF NOT NEW)’

This field accepts 4 values: New, Used, OEM, Refurbished. If left blank, SingleFeed will enter a defalt value of 'New'.

‘MPN (MANUFACTURER PART NUMBER)’

This is one of the most important fields you will fill out, so take the time to make sure you enter the correct MPN. If you also know the UPC code for the product, fill that into the appropriate field, too.

‘ISBN (IF BOOK)’

This is one of the most important fields you will fill out, so take the time to make sure you enter the correct ISBN. ISBNs are 10 or 13 digits long.

‘UPC (UNIVERSAL PRODUCT CODE)’

This is one of the most important fields you will fill out, so take the time to make sure you enter the correct UPC. UPCs are either 10 or 12 digits long.

PRODUCT COST’

Optional, but recommended for more accurate ROAS/ROI reports. Provide the actual cost of the product from your supplier/distributor (ie- what you pay for the product). This is used solely for SingleFeed Reporting tools. US dollars, with a decimal point and no $ sign.

MSRP’

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the item. US dollars, with a decimal point and no $ sign.

'SALE PRICE'

This field is strongly recommended if your product is on sale. If filled out, this price will overwrite the main Product Price on some shopping engines. The others will display both prices together (highlighting the fact that your item is on sale... and this is the real benefit). Only fill out field if the product is on sale. You are still required to include the regular price in the 'Price' field. Example: 99.99. Don't use a '$'.

'SHIPPING COST'

Optional, but strongly recommended if your store has a flat rate shipping option (ie: it doesn't rely on "zones").  List the lowest priced flat rate option for the US.  If shipping is free, enter 0. Otherwise, use the following format: 4.99 (no '$').

'SHIPPING WEIGHT'
