I am receiving an error message when I try to upload. What should I do?

We are continuously updating our error message text to help users understand why their feed may be failing. Below is a list of common error messages and what you can do to fix them problem. If you receive an error message that is not on this list, please contact your account manager or submit a ticket through the support tab and specify the specific error message received.

1) Your file format is incorrect. We accept the following valid file formats: xls, txt, csv, tsv, zip.

If you see this error please change your file so that it is in one of the accepted feed formats and re-upload your file.

2) Unable to process ZIP file. Please make sure the file is a compressed ZIP file. We accept the following valid file formats: xls, txt, csv, tsv, zip.

If you see this error, your zip file is not in the proper format. Please change your file so that it is in one of the accepted feed formats and re-upload your file.

3) This EXCEL file is too big. Excel files are limited to 5MB. Please save your file as CSV or TSV (such as a .txt file) and re-upload. There are no size restrictions on non-EXCEL files.

If you see this error, your file is too big for our system to accept. Please change it to a .csv or .txt format and re-upload.

4) Could not derive the file type through "Auto-Detect." Your file may be missing a header row or the header row may not be in the SingleFeed format.

Please review your feed and make sure you have the proper header row (exactly matching ours) and that all required fields are in the feed. Also ensure you are using one of our accepted formats. Once you fix your feed, re-upload it.
